Refrain from consuming alcohol or taking any blood thinners (aspirin) at least 48 hours before your appointment. Zero caffeine intake on the day of your appointment.

Any major facial treatments should be done 4 weeks before or after your procedure. These treatments include: Laser, peels, facials, waxing, plucking, botox, & so on. Any questions please contact us via email.

If you use topicals in your skincare routine such as Vitamin C, Retinoids, exfoliants, glycol, etc. please stop use at least 2 weeks before your appointment. If you take fish oil or supplements containing fish oil, please also stop using it 2 weeks prior.

Lip scrub is encouraged the week leading up to the session. Keep your lips healthy, moisturized, exfoliated, & in good condition. Drink lots of water. Dry, cracked lips are difficult to work with and will often result in poor healing.

If you have EVER had a cold sore or a fever blister, you must take an anti-viral medication (such as Valtrex) every day beginning 1 week before your appointment, the day of, and continue to use 1 week after. This can be prescribed by your physician.

If you want to play it safe: According to the WHO, about two-thirds of adults carry HSV-1, the virus responsible for cold sores, often without realizing it. Lip blushing procedures can trigger this virus & lead to an outbreak. To help prevent this, consider taking lysine, an over-the-counter amino acid supplement, in the days leading up to your appointment.
