All consultations are now done via email. During your first appointment, we also consult in person before tattooing. In this consultation, we will discuss your chosen procedure in detail. The consultation will focus on skin evaluations and the client’s expectations. During the consultation, we will determine if you and your skin are a candidate for the procedure you are requesting. Once determined we will discuss the shape, color, and style. Please come prepared with any reference photos along with your desired shape and color.
The consultation will also allow time for questions to be answered and to go over the overall procedure process. An email consultation will not guarantee that I take on your project as a major goal is determining if you are a candidate. If what you are looking for isn’t a perfect fit, I may refer you to another artist. When we both agree to move forward a minimum deposit of 30% (and 5% credit card processing fee) of the desired tattoo is made and your appointment(s) are scheduled. All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Cosmetic tattooing is the process and technique of implanting pigment into the upper dermis layers of your skin to create a soft, realistic effect. Although many of the machines, tools, and sometimes inks are similar to traditional tattooing, the technique itself and the layer of implantation in the skin are where it differs the most.

All coverups must be pre-approved before booking. Please send a photo in natural light via the contact page or email . If your tattoo is obviously very dark, misshapen, or falls too outside of your natural shape, you will need to wait until it has faded or consider removal. Additional sessions may be needed for coverup work.
Showing up to your appointment with previous work may result in additional charges or loss of booking fee if you were not pre-approved first by me and I am not able to work over it, even if you feel it is “light”. -
This is a common misconception. Permanent makeup requires maintenance to keep color & detail. Fading of your tattoo will happen slowly over time and may get to a point where it is undetectable by you, however in most cases, residual color will remain. The length of time and condition of fading is unique to the individual. Variables to consider are lifestyle choices, skin health/integrity, use of skin care products, age & also techniques/technology/pigments within the cosmetic tattoo industry. Lightening and or removal can be a normal part of the cosmetic tattoo journey, especially after multiple applications. For most people, their tattoo will last between 1-3 years before booking a refresh.

This process involves a lot of trust & patience. If you feel any uncertainty at all, this may not be for you.
Additionally, if you have a skin condition, scar tissue, discoloration, an older tattoo or lips that are very darkly pigmented due to damage, or some other condition you feel may impact my ability to tattoo that area, you will need to contact me for approval and/or gain a doctor’s note before booking an appointment.
If you are making a thoughtful decision, have done your research, understand all of the risks involved & are prepared to follow the instructions described in the other sections of this website then yes, cosmetic tattooing can be a great way to enter a more low maintenance lifestyle & I will be happy to work with you.
